Steering Group: Minutes of the Meeting held on 15 May 2006

Present: Geraldine Kelly, Sue Jeffs, Barrie Charles, Mike Woodley, Barry Sheldon, David Beaumont, Stella Mitchell, Johnny Cuff

Apologies for absence had been received from: Alan Dawe, Pam & Leslie Kendall.

Anton Nath had cancelled and meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday 18th 14.00 Geraldine’s house.

From last Meeting: Geraldine has looked at other Parish Plans on web has also looked at ORCC site to find contacts for help with questionnaire.

Johnny Cuff joined the meeting.  He has helped Stella with education, Joining the group to assist with bringing issues together and devising questions for questionnaire.

Issues version 2. 

From all the issues sent to Barrie and those identified in consultation Barrie has drafted a proposal of the main issues within each group

Draft focuses on what we want in the parish plan not all of which will require evidence from the questionnaire.

Issues:
Community/Leisure

Focus on issues first then questions that follow on

Cholsey 1000+would welcome questions to generate data around how valued things are / what can we do differently.

 May be able to draw in some extra people to help with questions!

Environment:

Fair Mile?

Confusion about pavements, footpaths, foot ways

Need to make sure the questions are precise enough for those of us who use footpaths to refer to pavements.

 Education;

Discussion around use of term Youth and its meaning not necessarily a word people associated with.

Playground and recreation ground need at Fair Mile

Health

 Housing

Can leave more than

Clarify separate issues around fair Mile site

Mix of housing is an issue / sites and gardens (larger housing needed)

Transport
speeding identified as main issue / traffic calming is the answer

General Section 106 suggestions:
Relationship with planning / do we need some advice from them to help inform the Parish Plan / or do we just need to identify priority infrastructure needs and prioritise them.

Question about separation or integration of Fair Mile site from rest of village
